Axyom.Core's 2024 Year in Review

Written by Kurt Daniel, CEO | 18 December 2024

This past year represented a special year for Axyom.Core with significant milestones achieved for our company, our customers, and our partners.

In 2024, we celebrated our twelfth year in business, our spinout from Casa Systems, and our successful acquisition by the Lumine Group. We introduced a new company name and brand, along with numerous new product capabilities across Core and Radio while welcoming many new team members.

The biggest news of the year happened on April 30 when we were acquired by Lumine Group, a publicly traded acquirer of communications and media software businesses. Lumine has been an ideal home for Axyom.Core due to its growing communications and media ecosystem and its proven playbook which has already benefitted us in a range of areas.

On the day of the acquisition, we launched our new brand and website at https://axyomcore.ai.

Later in the year, we announced the commercial launch of the industry’s first 4G/5G dual-mode enterprise femtocell product which we soon launched at a top Tier 1 US provider. It extends service coverage indoors where access would otherwise be limited or unavailable and is driven by the rapid adoption of 5G technologies and the growing need for indoor wireless coverage.

Regarding our Core software development, we continued to enhance our offerings by boosting capacity support across SMF and UPF while adding new modules such as 5G LAN and 5G Wireless-Wireline Convergence (5GWWC).

Overall, we developed sixteen major releases across Core, Femto Core, SeGW, and Radio (LESC and NLECS) along with four new prototype designs in these areas. We also successfully delivered five new customer initiatives for Fixed Wireless Access, Mobile Private Network, Ethernet PDU, Access Gateway Function, and Telematics.

Axyom.Core participated in key industry events, including Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February and Network X in Paris in October where we showcased our 5GWWC capabilities with the Broadband Forum. These events provided valuable opportunities to engage with our customers and partners while sharing insights on important topics such as 5G, the cloud, security, and enterprise RAN and deepening our relationships.

We put together a new leadership team to help further strengthen and grow the company and better serve our customers: Ofer Gottfried as CTO, Jim Collier as head of sales, Sachie Bristow as head of alliances, David Ly as head of PS and our recurring business, Karen Barletta as head of marketing, Chris Dineen as head of finance, and myself as CEO.

Our team looks forward to 2025 when we will have several new Axyom.Core product launches while strengthening our go-to-market motions and other areas of our business as core components of our plan. We thank you for your continued support and partnership and wish you the best for the upcoming year and beyond.
