In the electrifying atmosphere of packed stadiums and major live events, where thousands of fans simultaneously live stream matches, capture high-resolution photos, and share immersive experiences in real time, the demand for reliable, scalable connectivity has never been more critical.
Orange France is a partner of the French Tennis Federation. Recently, Orange shared its latest project on Instagram, showcasing the deployment of a private 5G network for the French Tennis Federation at the French Open, Roland-Garros.
Timothée Mérandon, from Orange Events, revealed on LinkedIn that "With private 5G applied to sports events and broadcast, we explored very concrete use cases around Roland-Garros 2026: Instant photo transmission for photographers, Live cameras from the locker rooms, Live access to training courts, Real-time video feeds for TV teams and Immersive experiences through smart glasses".
AxyomCore supported the project with its own small cell and femto radio technology, helping provide the infrastructure needed to meet network performance requirements across the venue. In private 5G deployments, small cells and femto radios play a critical role in bringing dedicated coverage and capacity closer to where connectivity is needed most.
In the demanding environment of packed stadiums and major live events, where fans, media teams, and event operations rely on real-time connectivity, AxyomCore’s radio solutions help private networks deliver consistent performance across a wide range of users, devices, and applications.
