AxyomCore has been named a winner in the Core Network Champion category at The Fast Mode Awards 2026, receiving recognition for impact for its cloud-native, converged 4G and 5G Core solution.
The Fast Mode Awards recognize technology providers advancing innovation across the global telecommunications industry. AxyomCore's recognition highlights the role of its core network technology in helping operators modernize their infrastructure and support evolving connectivity requirements.
As operators expand their 5G networks, traditional hardware-dependent core architectures can make it difficult to introduce new services or adapt to changing network demands. AxyomCore addresses these challenges with a cloud-native, converged 4G and 5G Core designed to provide greater flexibility in how networks are deployed and managed.
The platform supports essential core network functions, including subscriber and session management, policy control, traffic routing and mobility across 4G and 5G networks.
Unlike traditional appliance-based solutions, AxyomCore uses a modular, containerized architecture that allows operators to deploy core functions across centralized and distributed cloud environments, including at the network edge. Individual functions can be scaled independently based on traffic and service requirements, helping operators make more efficient use of their infrastructure.
Automated provisioning and lifecycle management also reduce the manual effort associated with operating the core. With open interfaces and adherence to 3GPP standards, the solution can integrate with existing network infrastructure, allowing operators to introduce new capabilities without replacing their broader network environment.
AxyomCore's core network technology is also helping demonstrate how operators can approach emerging network requirements.
Through its work with Telenor, AxyomCore has demonstrated an autonomous edge architecture designed to maintain local network services even when connectivity to centralized infrastructure is disrupted. This approach can improve resilience in remote locations and other environments where maintaining connectivity is critical.
AxyomCore has also contributed to an end-to-end 5G network slicing blueprint alongside Capgemini, Telefónica and other technology partners, exploring how network slicing can be deployed and managed across multiple network domains.
Additional work with Deutsche Telekom has demonstrated the use of AxyomCore's Access Gateway Function and User Plane Function in a 5G Wireless-Wireline Convergence use case.
Together, these initiatives demonstrate how AxyomCore's core network technology can support different deployment models as operators evolve their networks.
As mobile networks become increasingly software-driven, operators need core infrastructure that can evolve alongside their services.
AxyomCore continues to develop its platform around cloud-native architectures, distributed network capabilities and greater automation. The same flexible approach also supports opportunities in the MVNO market, where providers are looking to gain more control over their network infrastructure as they transition toward thick or full MVNO models.
Winning the Core Network Champion award recognizes AxyomCore's continued work to provide operators with a more adaptable foundation for today's 4G and 5G networks while preparing for future network requirements.
We are proud to receive this recognition from The Fast Mode and congratulate the entire AxyomCore team on this achievement.
